Marius Bulai broke down his entire challenge and webinar launch system live on Thursday. He screen-shared real ad accounts and his HYROS setup. On a single challenge this year: $2.5M in spend, $10M from ads, all tracked in HYROS. Marius has managed $300M+ in ad spend and done $75M+ in sales from challenge and webinar launches this year alone. He went deep on:
Why a $5 CPL is the wrong number to chase on a launch
The HYROS audience that stops cold ads from paying for the same leads twice
Front-loading 30-50% of the budget into the final three days
The custom HYROS purchase event that survives high spend
The selfie ads that beat studio production by millions
Our notes below: 1. The cheap CPL trap (18:48) On a lead campaign you might hit a $5 CPL and feel like you won. But cheap leads on cold traffic usually don't buy. Marius watches whether those leads convert on the $27 VIP instead. Great CPL with a weak backend is a loser, bad CPL with a strong backend is a winner. CPL won't tell you which leads buy. The HYROS backend will. 2. The audience that updates itself (25:01) Most buyers run cold campaigns and keep paying to reach people who already opted in. Marius tags every opt-in through the HYROS script and builds a dynamic exclusion audience that updates on its own. Every new lead syncs in automatically, so cold campaigns never pay for the same person twice. He runs the same exclusion on VIP buyers so retargeting stops hammering people who already paid. Manual list uploads won't keep up. A dynamic HYROS audience will. 3. Why the last three days get half the budget (20:37) You'd assume early signups convert best, since you get more time to warm them with reminders and testimonials. He front-loads 30-50% of total spend into the final three days instead. Last-minute signups are the most top of mind, they show up at higher rates, and they close better. His costs even drop because people are more willing to opt into something happening right now. Your ad platform won't tell you which signups close. HYROS will. 4. The purchase event that survives high spend (27:45) Anyone who has run purchase campaigns for info offers knows Meta's purchase events get unstable, especially at high spend. Marius syncs every sale from HYROS to the pixel, then creates a sale rule that fires a custom "VIP purchase" event only on the $27 upgrade. Because Meta has no pre-built dataset around that custom event, it stays far more stable while he pushes millions through an account. Meta's purchase event won't hold at scale. A HYROS custom event will. 5. The selfie ads that beat studio production (34:23) Most operators assume polished, high-production ads win. Marius spends heavily testing studio shoots and big creative swings, and they get beaten almost every time. For Shelby Sapp's webinar, the creatives with multiple seven figures of spend are low-production selfie videos she films herself in the car. Over $5M has gone into selfie-style videos alone. Volume and native, organic-feeling creative beat polish, and you can produce a hundred of them without waiting on a studio. Bonus Training from Marius:
This Thursday, Marius Bulai goes live. He's done $50M in challenge and webinar sales this year. On one challenge he'll spend $2.5M to $3M in two weeks. He runs ads for Grant Cardone, Shelby Sapp, Jordan Lee, Warrior Babe, Charlie Morgan, and Matt Gray. Most media buyers chase a cheap cost per lead on a challenge. Cheap leads don't buy. That's why most challenges fail. Marius is breaking down the exact system:
The campaign structure behind a multi-million-dollar launch
The number he actually watches day to day (it isn't CPL)
How he builds the audiences
The conversion events he sets up in Hyros for a live launch
How he splits the budget across the promotion
